University of Pittsburgh opens new Recreation & Wellness Center |
The University of Pittsburgh has unveiled its impressive new Recreation and Wellness Center, offering a holistic approach to student well-being in a sprawling nine-story, 270,000-square-foot space.
Situated at 3921 O’Hara Street in Oakland, the center boasts a six-lane lap pool, hot tub, multi-sport courts for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, an elevated indoor track, and a cutting-edge esports lounge outfitted with 40 high-performance PCs and gaming consoles.
Vice Provost for Student Affairs Carla Panzella highlighted the center as a hub for building community and connection among students.
The facility welcomes guests from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
Soon, students can also enjoy a smoothie and juice bar, a poke bar, and an eatery spotlighting local chefs—showcasing Pitt’s ongoing focus on student wellness and vibrant campus life. Read More... |
